Processing of personal data: Finnish Energy Brussels stakeholder register

Processing of personal data in accordance to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 Article 14

1.  Name of the register 

The name of the register is Finnish Energy Brussels stakeholder register

2.  Controller and controller’s representative

The controller of the register is Finnish Energy (address Eteläranta 10, 00130, email office@energia.fi).

3. The purpose of processing of personal data

The personal data in the register is used for:

  • Finnish Energy’s communication with relevant stakeholders, and
  • Finnish Energy’s Brussels event invitations.

The processing of personal data in the register is based on General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 Article 6 (1)(f) (legitimate interests pursued by the controller). Legitimate interests are formed when executing the tasks described above.

The data subjects are persons which have a factual connection to Finnish Energy either as contact of member corporation or as a representative of stakeholder.

4.  Registered information

The register contains information of stakeholders in Brussels who are relevant for Finnish Energy’s functioning.

Personal data processed in the register is needed for the tasks specified in point 3.

This includes:

  • First name and last name 
  • Organization
  • Contact information (email).

5.  Information sources  

Stakeholder’s websites and public and private contact information providers are used as information sources and for updating of information.

6.  Disclosure of information 

In case of a co-organised event, Finnish Energy will disclose personal data to the parties involved in organising the event.  

7.  Transfers of personal data outside of EU and EEA

The personal data in the register will not be transferred outside of EU or EEA.

8.  Storing of information

The personal data in the register will be updated regularly, in general yearly. Unnecessary information will be deleted, and inaccurate information will be rectified.

9. Right to inspect data    

The data subject has right to inspect which of his or her personal data are processed in the register. The data subject can request to inspect data from the controller’s representative specified in point 2 of the privacy statement. 

10.  Right to rectification, right to erasure and right to restriction of processing

The data subject can request the contact person/controller’s representative specified in point 2 to rectify his or her personal data.

The data subject has the right to erasure his or her personal data in accordance to the GDPR.

The data subject has the right to obtain from the controller restriction of processing in accordance to the GDPR.

11.  Right to object

The data subject has the right to object, on grounds relating to his or her particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning him or her in accordance to the GDPR.

12.  Right to notify to the Data Protection Ombudsman

The data subject has the right to notify the Data Protection Ombudsman processing personal data described in privacy statement according to the GDPR or the Data Protection Act.
