Electricity customers
Every one of us uses electricity. We are highly dependent on it, and for many companies the supply of electricity is a lifeline. Practically all homes and over two hundred thousand summer cottages are connected to the electricity network.
It is easy to switch electricity suppliers. When moving house or otherwise switching electricity suppliers, all you need to do is contact the electricity supplier company of your choice. If the electricity supplier and the network company responsible for distribution are not the same company, the customer will receive separate confirmations of contract and bills.
When planning a new house, it is worth contacting the electricity distribution company operating in the area as early as possible.
An average of less than three per cent of the disposable income of a Finnish family is spent on electricity. Naturally, this share varies a lot, for example, according to the heating system used.
Electricity prices in Finland have for long been among the cheapest in the EU countries. The price of electricity for Finnish companies has also been favourable in international comparison.
